Sweet Eureka was a bluesrock power trio, formed in 2010. I was the primary songwriter, guitarist, and singer. I created all of the artwork for the band. The look and feel is centered around the concept of Tough Luck; the logo is made up of a broken heart surrounded by an upside-down horseshoe. I created the type by hand, basing the letters from old cigar packaging.
The Tough Luck album was released digitally through all of the major retailers, as a CD, and as a USB cassette tape. The tape includes the music in multiple audio formats, and two videos. The concept behind the cassette release was to merge old and new. The music was recorded direct to 24-track, 2" analog tape and was made accessible to all by putting it on a USB cassette, which hints at the old school recording process that took place.
One of the songs from the album was featured in the commercial for the 2017 Philadelphia International Auto Show. You can see and hear the commercial here.
I designed posters, flyers, postcards and social media graphics for upcoming shows and events. I also did some video production for the band, including two mini documentaries I made about in-and-out-of-studio recording sessions.
